I'm sitting here watching American Idol and Jasmine Trias is voted off tonight in what's obviously supposed to be a big surprise to everyone.

But in a pretaped interview after she's given the bad news she says:

Even though I didn't go all the way, it was a great experience.

According to a recent People magazine article, all contestants tape exit interviews for "Survivor" and "The Apprentice" before either show begins production. Supposedly a time saving move for the editing process.
